Focus on single herbs

Each session we gather to focus on a single healing herb. The heart of this process is a guided blind tasting of a herbal infusion.

Similarly to wine tastings, we use the full range of our senses to perceive the properties of each healing herb. 

As we observe the colour, smell, taste and consistency, we are able to also observe or intuitively sense the healing effects of the herb in our own bodies.

This process is guided mindfully and includes explanations of the connections between certain characteristics and possible actions. The tasting is followed by a group discussion on the traditional and modern uses of the individual healing herb.

Through this process we get to know each herb intimately. Even after hundreds of blind tastings I am still excited about what can be discovered through conscious mindfulness.

Healing Herbs

At each  Encounters with Healing Herbs we focus on a single healing herb, that combines well with bee products. It is tasted, sensed and perceived. These experiences are shared and discussed in the circle in order to develop a deeper relationship with some of the common healing herbs that are traditionally cherished as home remedies.
